At Wine Fauve we are proud of the unique selection of wines that we continue to produce in the Amity Hills. Winemaker William "Mikey" Jones has seen many changes in the wine industry for the last several decades, and with it many changes in Oregon's famed Willamette Valley region. Nevertheless, he has continued to be a steadfast farmer, vineyard cultivator, and resident of the Yamhill Valley. His persistent efforts, experience, and artistic approach to winemaking keep Wine Fauve positioned as a favorite choice for winelovers.
Wine Fauve is known for delicious Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Marechal Foch, a number of wonderful blends, and of course our famous Port-style wines. With those favored selections, along with our white wines and specialty wines, we have something for everybody's palate.
Our vineyard is planted in the hills above Amity, Oregon. Originally planted in 1971, and once called Madrona Hill, our vineyard has some of the oldest Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in Oregon.
"Since 1987 I have been making wines from grapes grown in my Amity Hills Vineyard, planted in 1971. My goal has always been to produce high quality, affordable wines." Mikey Jones, owner and winemaker at Wine Fauve, continues to achieve this goal. The journey has proven to be a long road full of interesting experiences and even more interesting people. We would be remiss if we did not mention the continued support and patience extended over the years by Nancy Clifton. It's never easy being a winemaker's wife. However, Nancy will forever be honored for her steadfast qualities and tireless efforts to help make Wine Fauve a success.
